My North Channel Swim Relay Team, “Muintir na Mara” (People of the Sea) left Robbies Point in Donaghadee at 5.10am on Wednesday 15th September and the 5 of us made the 34km crossing in 10 hours 52 minutes.
It was an excellent if slightly tiring day with a brilliant group of people who all gave 100% whether they were in or out of the water. The video below sums up our day.
Another team from Bangor “Team Rocket” completed the crossing the day before in a time of 14 hours and 2 minutes
